When did I last check my blood pressure?

Operation Life Sly Witt

One of the better 'songs' I've ever heard, and with a strong ending.

This is good now but would have been great in 1985. The opening tension created by the cellos felt like a heart attack, and there is outlandishness borrowed from several sources- Beatles, Billie Joel, Supertramp.

Truthfully it is not the best performed or mixed, but it has great song idea power and heartfelt delivery, and maybe it's because the chorus sounds a bit like the chorus from the Superman the movie theme song, and that's a positive subliminal image.

But I don't often have such developed song ideas, so cohesively arranged, especially ones that grab you immediately. This is quite melodious in a traditional definition, but there are some bold chord changes used that really work. It is only a pop rock song, but it is a little masterpiece.
