Schwinn Song

My Hometown Steve Ison

Lately I've been watching old Green Hornets and am every episode astounded by Herb Alpert's lead trumpet solo. This doesn't attempt to be such a tour de force horn arrangement, but with the power chordish acoustic guitar phrase I do feel a little Pete Townsend Tommy period vibe with the combination, maybe a bit Ray Davies in tone, but the average listener might not get that impression and just consider it pretty darn creative.

There's so many images of children playing in the age before video games and the internet. It just doesn't feel like that nowadays....

Nothing like a little positive nostalgia to help get you through the day!
