It must not have been easy

Shadow Lamenta Phantom Music Box

This tune is Pink Floydish, 'cept for the vocals and the bridge. It starts out as one of those moody 'getting high' tunes but subtly slides into an epic story.

The bridge was a VERY cool change in chords/mood/etc.

The main vocals were perfect. The almost conversational but angst filled backing vocals set up a nice counterpoint to the vocal line.

The musicianship was top notch throughout. Although I'm not good at drum grooves myself, I really respond to good ones. This had a beat that pulled this listener in. The bass, when I was paying attention was playing some nice segues. The 'lead guitar', although terrific, almost took away from that bridge I like so much. I'd have loved to hear the two melded somehow.

Being forced by the system to rate the 'keyboards', I was at first thinking 'what keyboards', but then realized they were what made up the part I keep saying I like so much. ...That's how organic this thing is.

Very nice.
