labrodent

History

The artist ‘labrodent’ took an interest in Industrial Bands in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Inspired by groups like Skinny Puppy, Ministry, Front 242, he felt a calling to create his own brand of music. He acquired some gear, a sequencer, and
recorded a few tracks on his 4 track tascam recorder.
As life’s journey continued, ‘labrodent’ was forced to drift
away from music. It wasn’t until about 2010 that he was
able to return. Thanks to software on various gaming
consoles, he began creating again. Friends in his social
network really enjoyed his creation, prompting him to get
a little ‘more serious’ with his creation and purchasing
a Novation Launchpad, which was packaged with a copy
of Ableton Live 8. This started the ball rolling again, leading
to his first release, ‘Odyssey’.

Sound

It would be hard to define the style of ‘labrodent’. He has
been called many things. His music basically breaks down
into two categories. The first being a driving beat, fast
paced, accelerate your heart rate music. The second would
be the opposite, slow, trance-like, take you on a virtual
trip to Sonic Eutopia.
