Telecaster -- with pickup upgrade

Postby PopTodd » Thu Oct 10, 2013 2:35 pm

So, I ordered a fender Thinline Tele 1969 reissue. I was supposed to get it in May... June... August... October...
Still isn't in yet.
Now they tell me that it should be in my hot little hands by the end of the month.

In order to apologize for all the trouble, Fender are going to upgrade the pickups.
While a friend whom I trust has suggested that I install some Fralins, I am limited to what is offered by Fender, itself. Still, not bad.

I think that I'm going with either the Vintage Noiseless:
http://www.fender.com/accessories/picku ... -set-of-2/
or
Or the Custom Shop Nocasters:

Leaning toward the Noiseless.

don't think I've ever heard (or at least been able to identify) a noiseless pickup todd. seems like that would be great for recording and for a band axe where you want the twang without the added SNR. would help cut through other gits ...

After further consideration (and further waiting), I am going with the Nocasters.
Yeah, more noise, but better, more-classic Tele twang. That's what I'm getting this guitar for, after all.

if this had been a baby, it'd be about a 125 pound delivery by now.
