Well I don't wanna come over all heavy and indignant an' shit Mark, but that's a real diss for a lot of the people on the site. If you were to pay a brief visit to Audiopolis you'd see how there are various different styles of review and some of them are very creative. They are pieces of writing which would not have been written without the prompt of a song. And because we are currently doing them without any reward but for the experience itself and the satisfaction of curiosity, the writing is without format. Who woundn't be interested in that?
So there.

I invite you to upload some songs there and wait a while. And I'll put twenty quid on your coming back for a quick peek. 8-)

I don't understand why you took my compliment of cj's reviews as an insult to others, as I thought I was complimentary to the reviewing skills of the group as a whole as well. I apologize for giving such an impression, and I mean it--Audiopolis reviews are consistently excellent.

I still maintain cj is the most incisive reviewer I have personally encountered, but if that opinion causes you to feel insulted, you have my enthusiastic permission to take it out on cj.

Er, maybe it was the bit that said "Reviews bore the crap out of me now...They are boring."

Insulted? It's only a diss. I think Hud and Stebs can take it.

You're such a blue touch paper.

Ah, I see. Apologies once again. To be clearer, it's the process I was blathering about. The actual reviews here really are entertaining and helpful--always were. Yours are usually the wittiest and funniest along with keen creative insight...actually you and the Archbishop are probably tied for hilarity blended with serious helpful intent. That said, the process itself, the entire system...boring. A left-brain response to a right-brain activity. That's all I mean to say, and I only mean it to apply to my own weird blue touchpaper mind.

Sending flowers to everyone and movin' on to the next stubbed toe. Sorry for the threadjack, Steve!

I think you are saying that you're not a reviewer. And that's okay, 90% of the reviewers on Garageband weren't either. :|
I do however think it's good for left-brain to speak to right-brain now and then so that right-brain knows what the hell it's doing.

Sending flowers to everyone

Ahhh...Narcissus... thank you!

what makes the reviews interesting to me is the fact that they are so different in style and ability. It would be boring if everyone
had the same technique. If so audiopolis would only need one persons opinion. I don't need 5 people picking apart every aspect of
my songs. I just like an honest and unbiased opinion.
